Mylnefield Lipid Analysis Work on Study Characterising Ratfish Liver Oil

Mylnefield Lipid Analysis was delighted to perform a complete analysis of AKGs, including preparation of extracts and Gas Chromatography, for a study entitled, “Biochemical Characterization of Ratfish (Chimaera monstrosa) liver oil; Cytotoxic and antineoplastic evaluation in cancer cell lines.” Mallakin, A (2018). Published in the Journal of Integrative Clinical Medicine today.

Research Article: Encapsulated Fish Oil Products Available in the UK Meet Regulatory Guidelines With Respect to EPA + DHA Contents and Oxidative Status

This recent paper from researchers at the Scottish Institute of Aquaculture has concluded that, at least as far as the UK is concerned, from 23 products tested all were within EP and BP limits in terms of oxidation status. The paper was published in the European Journal of Lipid Science and Technology.
