Meet our newest team members

New Lipid Staff

Mylnefield Lipid Analysis has welcomed three new analytical chemists to the team during our 25th anniversary year; Dr. Kenneth Amayo, Gus Calder and Stef Hay.

In February, we were joined by Dr. Kenneth Amayo. Kenneth gained his PhD from the University of Aberdeen and prior to working with Mylnefield Lipid Analysis was an Analytical Development Scientist at Quay Pharmaceuticals and also a Senior Analytical Chemist at Almac Sciences in the North of Ireland. Throughout Kenneth's career he has developed specialist skills in method development and validation along with instrumental analysis.

Gus Calder joined us in October with particular expertise in analytical methods developed over 25 years of managing a laboratory, while also running his own materials analysis company.

Stef Hay joined the team shortly after Gus.  Before coming to work with Mylnefield Lipid Analysis, Stef worked with GSK as a Quality Laboratory Analyst and prior to that with Eurofins, carrying out research science in the drug discovery service. Stef was a wet chemist before joining us and is thoroughly enjoying learning more around the topic of chromatography and the analysis of some more unusual samples.

Welcome to the team!
