Practical Mass Spectrometry
of Fatty Acids

A
two-day intensive course of tutorials and hands-on practicals,
with emphasis on the latter, will be given under the auspices
of the Mylenfield Lipid Analysis Unit.
The course will cover the major techniques currently being used
for mass spectrometry of fatty acid derivatives. One day will
be devoted to preparation of derivatives and one to interpretation
of mass spectra.
The course lecturers will include W.W. Christie, G. Dobson, C.M.
Scrimgeour and T. Shepherd.
The number of course participants will be limited to ensure good
personal contact with the course lecturers.
The topics covered may include
- derivatization procedures
- complementary chromatographic techniques
- interpretation of mass spectra

The cost will be £950 + VAT, including lunches, course book
and transport to and from SCRI.
For full-time registered students, the cost is £750 + VAT
